Photograph the real item
Use daylight and a plain background. Show the front, back, any labels or model details, and the marks a buyer would notice in person. Avoid stock photos when selling a used item; people want to see the item they can actually buy.
Write the details you would ask for
Put the make, model, size or year in the title when relevant. In the description, explain the condition, what is included and any faults. Mention whether the price is firm or open to discussion. A buyer should not need three messages to learn the basics.
Choose the right place and category
Select the closest matching category and an accurate location. That helps nearby buyers find the listing and avoids conversations with people you cannot meet or deliver to.
Plan a safe exchange
Agree on a meeting place and how payment will be confirmed. Do not share login codes or private account details. Hand over the item only after you have verified the payment yourself.
